We achieved to realize this hydraulic power unit for the steel industry: it is installed in a rounding machine working to restore the ovality of rolling rings.
The HPU drives a large cylinder with a maximum thrust at 200 ton and it has been studied with an internal gear pump working at a pressure of 300 bar.
The tank has a capacity of 200 liters and the installed power is 11 kW.
The sequence of pictures is showing the testing of the power unit and the preparation of the cylinder whose characteristics are:
– type ISO 6022
– bore 320 mm.
– rod 200 mm.
– stroke 400 mm.
– Viton seals (FKM)
The cylinder is equipped with an MTS model RH5 magnetostrictive position transducer.
